Sales Consultant

Job Summary

The Sales Consultant will support the Sales, Catering, and Events team by handling administrative tasks, coordinating group and event logistics, and assisting with sales communications. This role combines organizational and customer service skills to help deliver exceptional event experiences and maximize revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process sales-related documents
  • Coordinate group reservations, input rooming lists, and manage room block inventory
  • Respond to guest and client inquiries regarding events, rooms, and availability
  • Assist in detailing social and small group functions with the Events Team
  • Manage and monitor incoming sales and catering inquiries by phone and email
  • Create and distribute event reports, daily event sheets, and group resumes
  • Support creative sales efforts (e.g., direct mail, special promotions, invitations)
  • Maintain organized files, track deadlines, and assist with office supply inventory
  • Provide on-site client support for changes and requests during planning stages
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or Associate Degree required
  • 2–3 years of experience in hospitality, sales coordination, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and comfortable with tech tools (iPads, tablets)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Customer-focused, solution-driven, and detail-oriented

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working long or flexible hours when needed
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure situations
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • Make sound decisions quickly and communicate clearly
