Job Description: Sales Consultant

Job Summary:

The Barista (Sales Consultant) contributes to Starbucks’ success by delivering legendary customer service and maintaining a welcoming, clean, and engaging store environment. This role is vital in crafting beverages and food items to exacting standards, creating a warm customer connection, and helping drive store performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Create a genuine and welcoming experience for each customer, every time
• Provide personalized and prompt service, taking and preparing customer orders accurately
• Engage customers in a friendly manner, offering product suggestions and responding to inquiries
• Ensure the customer area is clean, organized, and comfortable
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Starbucks products and promotions
• Craft beverages to Starbucks’ quality standards, following recipes and customization guidelines
• Prepare food items following health and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations, equipment, and customer areas
• Operate POS systems with accuracy and process transactions efficiently
• Follow cash handling procedures and maintain accurate till records
• Work cooperatively with team members to ensure efficient store operations
• Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor and management
• Support new team members with onboarding and peer learning
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and company initiatives
